Camping and Dinner
Fall Frolic will be hosted at the Epworth Center this year, at an area located about a 15 minute drive from the climbs. We will be camping Friday and Saturday night.
The Epworth Center is a Methodist retreat, camp and conference center. One of their rules is NO ALCOHOL on the premises. I know this may bother some, but we could not find any other place with suitable accommodations. The Epworth Center is near High Falls, on Rondout Creek on the back side of the Gunks, with views of Skytop, the Mountain House and the Catskills.
We will be in the Woodbine pavilion. It consists of cabins and a pavilion with bath and picnic facilities in the woods. The four cabins each hold 7 cots – mattresses on a spring suspension. They may however be more suited for children. The 28 cots will be available on a first come, first served basis. Otherwise, tents may be set up in the woods, or out on the end of the field as you wish. The ground is reasonably flat in both locations. Cars must be parked in the field.
Anyone who wishes to stay over and camp Sunday night can do so for $10 cash.
A catered dinner will be provided on Saturday evening at 7:15pm at the camping area in the pavilion. Vegetarian and non vegetarian menu choices are available.
