Knots Night - Thu Mar 23The rock program kicked off with Knots Night at the Joy Street auditorium. This time we had 72 students signed on and the wise and experienced instructors were all ready to tangle the eager students into the climbing webs. However the first step is is to pick up the goodie bag (class info, rock book etc) and make sure we all have a harness, helmet and a bit of rope. You never know what could happen at the AMC headquarters. Pablo Acosta and Erica Hruby introduced us all to the world of climbing with lively and cheerfull charades. Afterwards we got divided into groups and got a first try of basic knots, anchoring systems and belay techniques under the "strictest" guidance. |
