Rappel Weekend - Sat Apr 8

This time we learned the thrilling rappel technique. We all seen it in the movies. The question is if by the end of the day we would be able to duplicate the elegant and agile moves?

We all rapelled once with a device using the auto-block backup. Later continued using carabiners instead and finally top it all with the crown of all rappels, the free rappel. Optional variations such as body and munter hitch rapells were also visited.

As Saturday turned out to be cloudy with an occasional shower, a smaller group of students arrived. The rest opting and hoping for better weather the following day. Nevertheless, John and Jean Hazell took care of us all.
